Crystal C’Bearing

Crystal C'Bearing is an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe and is also Cheyenne River Sioux. Born and raised on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming, Crystal was encouraged by her parents to continue her education and help her tribe succeed in two worlds and received her B.A.'s in History, American Indian Studies and Environment & Natural Resources. Crystal currentlyserves as the Northern Arapaho Tribal Historic Preservation Office Deputy Director.  In that capacity, she has offered her expertise on how to protect and preserve the Northern Arapaho history, language and cultural resources in the Ancestral Migratory Territory of the Arapaho which covers seventeen states. She has initiated numerous events to reclaim and repatriate Northern Arapaho history and cultural materials from museums and federal institutions.
